Pakhro Zone is said to be one of the best zones in Jim Corbett. In the region, you would mainly witness animals like Tigers, elephants, leopards and many more wild animals. The main transport options around the reserve are jeep safaris. Private vehicles are not allowed inside the Reserve forest, and this is one point to note while taking a trip to Tiger Reserve. At Pakhro you can get the chance to view other animals too like  Spotted Deer, Sambhar, Wild Boar, tiger, leopard, Barking deer, Goral Two kinds of Bears Himalayan Black and Sloth. For the bird watchers, the zone offers around 200 bird species making Kalagarh Tiger Reserve a perfect wildlife safari and bird-watching destination. The forests of Pakhro are for dense sal and rich bamboo clusters besides other species and are flooded with wildlife. Pakhro range is located in Pakhro Wildlife Sanctuary which is a part of Corbett National Park.
