About Zone

Another quite famous zone is the Jhirna Zone in Jim Corbett which is nestled in the southern part of the Jim Corbett National Park. Apart from the rich flora and fauna, the zone also comprises wildlife animals like sloth bears and elephants that will improve your safari experience. The best part of this zone is that it is open all year round and you can witness all the seasons here. The topography of the Jhirna zone is like a dry deciduous type and consists of a large Grassland (Chaur) called the Laldhang Chaur.

The entrance gate of the zone is Dhela Gate which is around 15 km from the city of Ramnagar.

    The safari for the Jhirna zone is carried out throughout the year along two shifts in a day with a maximum of 30 Jeeps in a shift. A maximum of 6 adults and 2 children (below 12 years of age) are allowed to sit in a Jeep. You can book your permit, up to 48 hours before your visit.
